Love Yourself, Achieve your Dreams - with Sharon Black Dates: THIS EVENT HAPPENED IN SUMMER 2003, click here for current events. Overview The key to achieving our dreams is, put simply, to love ourselves. Only when we can do that - absolutely, unconditionally, fully in every sense - do we have the confidence to go after whatever we want in life... and to receive it. By learning how to master such a simple yet profound change in attitude, you can transform your life forever. During this course, you will receive in-depth training in such techniques as affirmations, visualisations, inner child work, meditation, with plenty of time for tea breaks and discussion. Come prepared for change! Sessions will be held each morning with afternoons and evenings free to relax, sunbathe, explore the local area, swim in the river, or simply think more about the day's teachings. There are several books by Louise Hay available for loan as well as some cassette tapes and related literature by other authors. There will also be optional pre-dinner yoga sessions held throughout the week - led by Alex Duncan. Both beginners and those with experience are welcome. Breakfast will be self-catering; lunch and dinner will be prepared with the help of two or three volunteers each day (on rota) at La Source and eaten together, outdoors under the shade of our garden vines, whenever possible. There will also be a series of optional evening activities (see below), open to everyone. In addition, on-site massage, reflexology and personal Ayurvedic Nutrition consultations are available for an additional fee from local English-speaking therapists. Sharon

I first discovered the teachings of Louise Hay in 1992, shortly after returning from a year spent teaching in Japan and travelling around Asia. At the time, I was very unhappy in my own life, lacking a sense of personal and professional direction and a vague sense of trepidation at what I knew needed to do to find the answers. I came across Louise Hay's 'You Can Heal Your Life' quite by chance one day while browsing in the personal development section of my local Waterstones, and devoured it almost overnight. I then attended her weekend workshop 'Love Yourself, Heal Your Life', which helped me put the principles I'd read about into practice and share my questions and convictions with others. From that point on, my life changed - not overnight but with a slow certainty. My relationships improved, I had more self-esteem, I fell into a job I loved, and I found I was meeting people I had lots in common with instead of acquaintances I saw more out of a sense of duty and habit than because of any real connection. Since that time, I have dipped in and out of Louise Hay's teachings as and when I have felt the need. It was only after Alex and I attended a Skyros holiday (the Greek retreat centre for holistic self-development) some years ago that the thought first occurred to us to set up a centre of our own where people could nurture their health and happiness in tranquil surroundings. And it was only after this decision was set in motion - by leaving our home in Glasgow and buying a property in the south of France - that Louise Hay returned to me. Having now completed my training to become a qualified Louise Hay workshop leader (ref. www.achieveyourdreamsteachers.com or www.dialogues.com), I am excited to be continuing my journey to the next stage - and following my heart by doing so. Grateful for the enormous benefits Louise's wisdom has brought to my own life, I am delighted to finally be able to share them with others. Additional information It is expected that you will have read Louise Hay's 'You Can Heal Your Life'. Please feel free to bring along any musical instruments for evening group gatherings. You may also wish to bring walking shoes, swimming clothes, sun cream etc. |
