Helpers

We occasionally put out a request for energetic, like-minded people interested in helping us at Gardoussel for various weeks throughout the year.

As a small family-run centre, our own work is very cross-disciplined. We organise, cook, manage accommodation, maintain and develop the centre, teach and give therapies, co-ordinate and provide transport and outings, do gardening, marketing and networking.

In addition to this, family life with young children means we require assistance!

If you are interested in offering help in exchange for food, board and Ayurvedic consultations, and being part of the Gardoussel team for a few weeks, including taking part in any group activities which interest you that are taking place during your stay, please contact us.

Requirements

Candidates need to be fit and healthy, enthusiastic, motivated, self-disciplined, tolerant of the heat and generally happy in themselves. Let us know of your experience in: cooking, childminding, massage, gardening, building work, etc. This work exchange is open to individuals and couples.

Retreat Life

Although we are a small retreat, we are as a family dedicated to a spiritual lifestyle. We study and practise as best we can, even when events are running and demands are high. Being around as a helper, you will become one of the extended family and are welcome to join in with morning meditations etc. We work hard but try to organise the day so that each person is not over-worked. We also meet regularly to 'tune in' (in addition to group meditation etc).

In addition to sharing time with us, off and on duty, you will of course be able to interact with the groups which come here, many of which are led by well-known, experienced teachers. Although your primary duties will be to help us during events, you will also be able to dip into some of their workshops and sessions.
