Families at Gardoussel during events

Families are welcome at Gardoussel during themed events—bearing in mind that holiday venues like this are seldom geared up for children and we want to be able to provide an environment where everyone, regardless of family situation, can enjoy themselves.

Being the parents of young children ourselves, we recognise the importance of being able to relax and pursue our own interests from time to time, safe in the knowledge that our children are being well looked after.

However, while we are happy to accommodate children in principle, depending on space, it should be noted that we cannot guarantee the availability of childcare on any particular course, nor the presence of qualified childcare personnel. All family bookings are made on a case-by-case basis.

Who will look after your child? There are 3 possibilities:

• You and/or your partner take it in turns while course sessions are running. (In certain cases, your child may be allowed to accompany you to sessions).
• We look after your child along with our own children, if this is convenient for us.
• We may be able to employ a babysitter.

Children will usually be accommodated in parents’ rooms (some of our larger twin rooms are suitable for this). Separate rooms may be available depending on booking numbers. Alternatively, we do have some space for camping. We also have two gîtes (holiday apartments) which can be hired separately—very early booking advised. We have one travel cot and bedding.

Childcare, when available, will be offered during designated course sessions, and by arrangement at other times.

Outdoor games include swings, a slide and badmington/volleyball net—not to mention all the oak forest and river on our land!

Local activities include walks around the hamlet, adventure play in local woods, picnics, donkey rides, trout fishing from a natural trout farm and paddling/swimming in the local river. Our own children will usually be around to join in the fun!

Please note that for all family bookings, it is essential you contact us as soon as possible to discuss arrangements.

Cost: 250 EUROS per child per week (to cover food and accommodation).
