Yoga, Rest & Recreation Retreat

Let your hair down and indulge in a week of pure relaxation at Gardoussel this summer. The emphasis of this week is informality. All activities are optional and include yoga classes, short guided hikes, mantra singing, Ayurveda talks, a trip to the local market and a chance to learn to prepare delicious Ayurvedic foods. Participants will be expected to lend a hand in the kitchen or gardens for a short time each day.

For those who really want to pamper themselves, all the usual therapies will be available on-site: massage (Swedish and Ayurvedic), craniosacral therapy and reflexology. Ayurvedic consultations will however not be available unless you volunteer yourself as a 'guest patient' on the Ayurvedic Clinical Diagnosis week that runs in parallel.

The cost of the week includes full-board accommodation (meals are freshly prepared, mostly organic, vegetarian) and all in-house activities: yoga classes, hikes, evening activities (mantra, music, talks, organized bonfire, etc) and a trip to the market. Massages etc are charged separately.

• Saturday pm — arrival between 4-8 pm, evening meal, welcome to Gardoussel
• Sunday am — informal cooking class
• Sunday pm — yoga class
• Monday am — informal cooking class
• Monday pm — yoga class, evening off
• Tuesday am — free time (optional trip to local market)
• Tuesday pm — yoga class, evening gathering
• Wednesday am — informal cooking class
• Wednesday pm — yoga class, evening off
• Thursday am — informal cooking class
• Thursday pm — yoga class, evening gathering
• Friday am — informal cooking class
• Friday pm — free time, evening gathering
• Saturday am — morning departure

We may adapt the program according to the wishes of the group, the weather, etc.

Arrival from 4pm on Saturday 5th, departure by 10am on Saturday 12th.
