Ayurveda Course - A Practical Introduction to Ayurveda

A self-study mini ayurveda correspondance course

Aims of the course

This course aims to provide a practical introduction to Ayurveda. You will be able to start integrating Ayurveda's preventative diet and lifestyle into your life. The level of information is suitable for a total beginner, or someone who has perhaps read a book about the subject but who wishes to guided towards a personal practice.

The course also provides and excellent opportunity to test whether Ayurveda is a subject you would like to study in more depth. The European Institute of Vedic Studies (www.atreya.com) offers several in-depth correspondance courses and training programs.

Study materials include

  • Audio lectures (almost 2 hours worth of CD quality MP3 lectures).
  • PDF course material includes study questions that are corrected by email by the author of the course.

Interactive learning

  • Each lesson concludes with a small written exam that you submit via email. Your answers will be corrected and returned to you with the subsequent lesson materials.
  • Questions related to the lesson content may be submitted via email to the author during the term of the course.

How the course is organised

The course is divided into lessons 10 lessons. Each lesson is composed of a Acrobat PDF file and accompanying MP3 lesson lecture(s) that can be played on a computer, MP3 player, or written to a CD for playing in the car or at home alike on a normal CD player.

Once you have finished studying each lesson, write your answers to the test questions in an email to the author. These will be corrected and returned within a short delay along with the subsequent lesson matarial.
