Ayurvedic Consultations

• General Consultation (for general health, mild chronic health complaints): focuses on constitutional diagnosis (prakriti puriksha) to discover your dominant dosha followed by general health maintenance advice including daily and seasonal Ayurvedic regimes covering diet, use of herbs for digestion*, lifestyle, self-hygiene, exercise and yoga. 60 minutes / 45 €.

• In-depth Consultation (for more serious chronic health complaints): treatment advice based on disease assessment (vikriti puriksha) normally comprising Ayurvedic herbal prescriptions*, specific dietary program, lifestyle advice and therapeutic yoga exercises. 60 minutes / 45 €.

Additional Education & Instruction (45 € per hour, per group or individual)

• Self-hygiene/self-care: use of nasya (medicated nasal oils) and jala neti (nasal cleansing), abhyanga (self-massage), tongue cleaning, mouth washes etc.

• Cooking classes and additional dietary instruction

• Ayurvedic yoga therapeutics: asana (postures, posture awareness) pranayama (breathing, breath awareness), deep relaxation (Yoga Nidra), psychological counselling / mental yoga practices (explanation of the Ayurvedic view of mind leading to instruction of appropriate mental healing tools such as mantras (healing sounds) and preliminary meditation exercises).

• Introductory Ayurvedic talks

• Ayurvedic theory tutorials (for Ayurveda students)

During your stay, there are usually plenty of opportunity for informal chat about Ayurveda, such as during and after meal times.

*Actual herbs are not given, only prescriptions are given which must then be procured from an Ayurvedic herbalist (details given).
