Mommy and me yoga is a popular practice for mothers who want to practice yoga and spend time with their babies. Moms can do yoga at home with their babies, or they can attend a mommy and me class at their local wellness or fitness center. Practicing yoga with a baby does not actually require the baby to do any yoga though. In fact, the baby will spend most of their time lying comfortably on a blanket on mom’s yoga mat. Some mommy and me yoga classes focus strictly on getting in some yoga, while others give ample focus on the babies too.I was looking for more information and found it here. The classes that focus more on the babies will include games that interact with them.
Just like using a medicine ball in yoga, mom’s can incorporate holding their babies into their yoga poses. This will also help the baby become more comfortable during mommy’s yoga sessions. It’s a good bonding time and this gives them some attention. It also helps to bring a toy or two along to yoga classes to give baby some form of entertainment during yoga postures that they are not included in. Baby will likely laugh and giggle when mommy does downward dog over top of them, blowing kisses!
